(\"Tariff - Terms and Conditions\" does not replace the Rental Agreement)<\/span><\/p>\n

PRICE, RENTAL DURATION, FUEL AND VEHICLES<\/span><\/h4>\n

The rental price includes: Third Party Liability Insurance (TPL); unlimited mileage; Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP); 24-hour roadside assistance; VAT.<\/span><\/p>\n

The minimum rental period is one day, which comprises a maximum of 24 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fuel\/battery charge is the Customer's responsibility, and they must return the vehicle with the same level as at the start of the rental. If they fail to do so, in addition to the cost of the missing fuel\/battery level, a refuelling\/battery charging service fee of \u20ac15 will be charged.<\/span><\/p>\n

The vehicles shown may be substituted for equivalent models.<\/span><\/p>\n

DRIVERS AND DRIVING LICENCE<\/span><\/h4>\n

The driving licence must be valid for driving in Portugal and held for a minimum of 2 years from the date of issue. International driving licences must be accompanied by the original national driving licence. Only the drivers mentioned in the rental agreement are authorised to drive the hired vehicle. The minimum age to drive the hired vehicle is 21 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

COLLECTION AND RETURN<\/span><\/h4>\n

Upon collecting the vehicle, the Customer must make full payment for the rental and all contracted extras and services, as well as leave a security deposit (see vehicle details). They must present the originals of their identity document (EU citizens: passport or citizen card; non-EU citizens: passport) and driving licence, along with the booking voucher. The rental ends with the return of the vehicle on the date, time and at the location stated in the contract. Any change during the rental period requires prior and express authorisation from Tabuarent. In cases where the return of the vehicle exceeds the established time, Tabuarent reserves the right to charge an extra day in accordance with the current tariff rate. Tabuarent reserves the right not to accept changes to the rental contract.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

METHODS OF PAYMENT AND SECURITY DEPOSIT<\/span><\/h4>\n

Payment of the rental amount, extras and other services can be made in cash (Euro), by debit or credit card (VISA, MASTER CARD). For the security deposit, the Client's credit card is mandatory, with sufficient balance for this purpose and validity exceeding 30 days beyond the end of the contract. The deposit amount will be held by Tabuarent throughout the entire rental period and released after its end, except in the mentioned situations. The physical presence of the credit card is required for the security deposit. Virtual, prepaid or top-up cards are not accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Territorial scope<\/span><\/h4>\n

The use of the hired vehicle is restricted to mainland Portugal. Unauthorised driving outside mainland Portugal is considered a breach of the hire agreement, subjecting the Customer to subsequent penalties and liabilities for misuse of the hired vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n

BOOKING CONFIRMATION<\/span><\/p>\n

All bookings are subject to confirmation by Tabuarent. In the final step of the booking, after making the payment, the Customer will receive a confirmation email with the booking number and details, which should be kept to use as a voucher when collecting the vehicle. Confirmation emails are sent daily between 09:30 and 17:30.<\/span><\/p>\n

CANCELLATION OF RESERVATIONS<\/span><\/h4>\n

If you cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the start date and time of your rental, you will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you cancel your reservation less than 48 hours before the start date and time of your rental, you will not be entitled to any refund.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you fail to appear at the date, time and location specified in the reservation, and\/or fail to present all the necessary documents, and\/or fail to present your credit card with available funds for the security deposit, your reservation is considered a No Show and you will not be entitled to any refund.<\/span><\/p>\n

No-show bookings<\/span><\/h4>\n

The following situations are considered NO SHOW reservations:<\/span><\/p>\n

If you do not collect the vehicle on the date, time and location specified in the reservation.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you do not present the necessary documentation to collect the vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you do not present your credit card, as the main driver, with available funds for the security deposit.<\/span><\/p>\n

In all booking situations considered a No Show, there will be no right to a refund.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

MOTOR THIRD-PARTY LIABILITY (MTPL)<\/span><\/h4>\n

The compulsory third-party motor liability insurance guarantees, in accordance with legal requirements, the terms of Tabuarent's insurance policy and the conditions of the rental agreement, the damage caused to third parties by an accident involving the rented vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW) AND THEFT PROTECTION (TP)<\/span><\/h4>\n

This guarantee limits the Customer's liability for collision damage to the hired vehicle or for its theft to the amount of the Compulsory Excess set in the rental agreement. In the event of an accident, it is compulsory to present a duly completed and signed Accident Report Form, as well as a police report if required as evidence. If a demonstrably liable third party cannot be identified, the Customer is responsible for paying the cost of the damage to the hired vehicle up to a maximum of the Compulsory Excess amount, which varies depending on the vehicle group (see vehicle details). In the event of theft of the hired vehicle, it is compulsory to immediately present a police report and return the key to the nearest Tabuarent desk. In either case, the Customer must immediately report the incident to Tabuarent. If the information gathered raises doubts, Tabuarent reserves the right to withhold the contract deposit until the Insurance Company makes a decision. CDW and TP do not cover: loss of keys; misfuelling; windows, including rear-view mirrors, headlights and rear lights, of the hired vehicle, as well as its wheels or tyres; damage to the interior, roof or lower parts of the chassis of the hired vehicle; luggage; costs of managing the claims process. The towing service will always be charged to the Customer if it is due to: loss of keys; misfuelling; the Customer's fault. The CDW and TP guarantees shall be considered null and void whenever negligence or misuse of the hired vehicle is proven, in accordance with the provisions of the rental agreement. In this case, the Customer shall be held liable for the full amount of the damages, regardless of the Excess amount.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OPTIONAL EXTRAS, OTHER FEES AND SERVICES (all prices include VAT)<\/span><\/h4>\n

PARTIAL DAMAGE WAIVER (RCDW) - This cover substantially reduces the amount of the Mandatory Excess. With the exception of the Excess amount, the same terms as the CDW and TP cover apply. Daily cost that varies depending on the vehicle group (see step 2 of the booking).<\/span><\/p>\n

ADDITIONAL DRIVER (AD)<\/span><\/h4>\n

Amount payable for each driver added to the rental agreement, in addition to the Customer. Each additional driver must present the original documents. Cost per driver \u20ac25.<\/span><\/p>\n

YOUNG DRIVER (YD)<\/span><\/h4>\n

Daily fee payable for drivers under 24 years of age. Daily cost that varies depending on the vehicle group (see step 4 of the reservation).<\/span><\/p>\n

DELIVERIES AND COLLECTIONS (DLV)<\/span><\/h4>\n

Amount payable for each delivery, collection or other service, within a maximum radius of 20 km from the nearest Tabuarent station. Cost of \u20ac24.60 per service, with an additional \u20ac50 per kilometre travelled for greater distances. Subject to prior booking.<\/span><\/p>\n

OUT OF HOURS (OOH) - Surcharge added to services carried out outside normal working hours. Cost of \u20ac25 per service. Subject to prior booking.<\/span><\/p>\n

BABY SEAT (BSEAT) - Amount payable for each baby seat unit. This equipment must be requested in advance or at the time of booking and is subject to confirmation of availability. Daily cost of \u20ac5 up to a maximum of \u20ac50 per contract.<\/span><\/p>\n

CHILD SEAT (ISEAT) - Amount to be paid for each child seat unit. This equipment must be requested in advance or at the time of booking and is subject to availability confirmation. Daily cost of \u20ac4 up to a maximum of \u20ac40 per contract.<\/span><\/p>\n

CHILD SEAT \u2013 BOOSTER (CBOST) - Price to be paid for each booster seat unit. This equipment must be requested in advance or at the time of booking and is subject to confirmation of availability. Daily cost of \u20ac3 up to a maximum of \u20ac30 per rental agreement<\/span><\/p>\n

EXTRA VALET (CLE) - The rental price includes the cleaning of the vehicle upon its return. This cleaning, which is necessary for handover to a new rental, comprises a standard preparation period of no more than 20 minutes. If the vehicle requires additional preparation time, the Customer will be charged \u20ac35 per hour, as well as for the days the vehicle is out of service at the current tariff rate.<\/span><\/p>\n

CLAIMS PROCESS MANAGEMENT (ACFEE) - Amount payable by the Client for the management and reporting of an accident claim for which they are responsible. Cost per accident \u20ac61.50.<\/span><\/p>\n

FAILURE TO DECLARE ACCIDENT (ACRM) - Amount payable by the Customer in the event of failure to complete, in whole or in part, an accident report form. Cost per report \u20ac98.40.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

MISSING VEHICLE DOCUMENTS (LVD) - Amount payable by the Customer in the event of the total or partial absence of the vehicle documentation provided at the time of collection. Cost of \u20ac30.<\/span><\/p>\n

FINE AND TOLL MANAGEMENT (ADFEE) - Amount to be charged to the Client for the administrative costs of managing and reporting cases of traffic rule violations, parking offences and unpaid tolls. Upon the Client's request, copies of all paid notification processes will be provided. This does not include the value of the fines, which are to be paid directly by the Client to the respective authorities. Cost per process: \u20ac59.<\/span><\/p>\n
